Brian Byrne, PhD - Technical Director
Dr. Byrne has a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry and has 30 years experience in the flavor industry most notably at PWF as R & D Manager and with International Flavors & Fragrances as Manager of Natural Product Development. He is currently President of Natural Advantage, which he has grown to a world leader in natural flavor ingredients. As Technical Director of Taste Advantage, Dr. Byrne is developing a line of trigeminal special effects (warming, cooling, bitterness blocking and sweetness enhancement) using natural materials. He is also developing a line of specialty fractions using essential oils, including citrus oils
Ed Baranski - Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Ed Baranski leads all aspects of manufacturing and logistics for Taste Advantage. He has 15 years of experience in the food ingredients business in various positions of manufacturing supervision and management, and has directed operations in both the United States and Mexico. In the past, he has worked for Ralston Purina, SunPure, and Degussa Food Ingredients.
At Taste Advantage, Mr. Baranski and his team use a variety of natural processes, including distillation, reaction, extraction, and blending to provide customers with responsive and innovative flavor solutions.
John Buckley - Technical Manager
John Buckley Joined Taste Advantage in the capacity of Technical Manager in May of 2006. Formerly the Operations Manager for Cargill's Citrus Flavor Ingredient business, Mr. Buckley has over 10 years of experience in the Flavor and Fragrance industry with companies such as SunPure and International Flavors and Fragrances. Mr. Buckley specializes in separation science and the discovery of new flavor molecules.
